Avril has two mini prints (100x100 mm) in the 3rd Red Dot Art Mini Print exhibition which opens at the tour's third venue, Artspace, in Woodbridge, Suffolk from Thursday 22-27 November. Opening times vary: see www.artw.co.uk for information.

Portal spotfixed sep 18

The first print (left) is an etching of the cromlech at Pentre Ifan near Nevern, Pembrokeshire and is called 'Portal, Pentre Ifan.' The cat below is called 'Taking the sun' and is a transfer monotype.

Running now, until 29 November at Highgate Literary and Scientific Institute Gallery is the exhibition entitled 50:50. More than 30 EFA artists are showing and On the beach, Annagassan is an Original Print in which the drawing is etched using acid and the tone and texture are added witha technique known as aquatint. A second Original print called Oaks and Hornbeams (below) is a solar plate etching of Cherry Tree Wood, East Finchley with overprinted Monotype leaves.
